At sixty-five square meters, this Testaccio studio asked for discipline. We built a single wall of joinery to absorb everything — storage, kitchen, bed — and left the rest of the room empty.

One material palette runs throughout: warm plaster, a slab of oak, a length of linen. With nothing extra, the small space reads as generous.

It’s our argument, in miniature, that restraint is a kind of luxury.
